REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CHEMICAL ANALYSIS Carbon 0.08 max Silicon 0.10 max Manganese 0.25 - 0.40 Phospho

4、rus 0.035 max Aluminum 0.035 min Sulfur 0.045 max 3.3 HARDNESS, ROCKWELL “B“ Annealed 50 max Unannealed 75 - 90 To be checked in areas designated on engineering drawing. 3.4 AUSTENITIC GRAIN SIZE 5 or finer (ASTM E 112, Annex A 3) Test Method: A section for metallographic evaluation shall be packed

5、in a sealed container which is filled with unused commercial carburizing compound. The container shall then be heated in a temperature controlled furnace at 925 C for 8 h. The container shall then be furnace cooled. The grain size shall be measured and reported in the manner specified per ASTM E 112, Annex A 3.3 and A 3.4 using specimens prepared according to ASTM Method E 3.
