APPLICATIONThis specification was released originally for material primarily usedfor structural bonding of an aluminum base plate to a plast

3、ic lead framein the speed control amplifier.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTSMaterial suppliers and part producers must conform to QualitySystem Requirements, QS-9000. Material specification requirementsare to be used for initial qualification of materials. A ControlPlan for ongoing pro

4、duction verification is required. This planmust be reviewed and approved by the relevant Ford Materialsactivity and/or Ford Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) prior toproduction parts submission. Appropriate statistical tools mustbe used to analyze process/product data and assure consistentprocessi

5、ng of the materials.Part producers using this material in their products, must useFord approved materials and must conform to a process control planwhich has been approved by STA and/or the relevant MaterialsActivity.3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll test values indicated herein are based on m

11、l be pulledin a testing machine having a jaw separationrate of 2.5 mm/ minutes.ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATION ESF-M2G331-APage 3 of 43.7 STORAGE STABILITYThe material shall be stored in closed containers at temperaturebelow 25 C away from all sources of heat. Heat greatlyaccelerates aging. Under

12、 these storage conditions, the minimumshelf life of the material shall be 6 months. However, whenstored at 0 C the shelf life is extended to 12 months. When thesematerials are stored at temperatures below 23 C, they shall beconditioned at room temperature prior to application. Adequateconditioning p

13、ermits the material to obtain its maximumapplication properties.3.8 QUALITYThe material shall be a smooth homogeneous mixture, free fromforeign materials and properties detrimental to normal productionoperations.3.9 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equival

14、ent inall characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Prior to making any change in the properties, composition,construction, color, processing or labeling of the materialoriginally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchanges affect the materials abili

15、ty to meet the specificationrequirements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposedchanges and obtain the written approval of the MaterialsEngineering activity. Test data, test samples and a new codeidentification are to be submit

16、ted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, applyto the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMaterials defined by this specification must have prior approv

17、al by theresponsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity

18、 a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test facility,demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of thisspecification test results, not nominal values), the material designationand code number, and test specimens for

19、Ford evaluation. Fordsengineering approval of a material will be based on its performance tothis specification and on an assessment of suitability for intendedprocesses and/or applications. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Engineering Material Approved Source List.ENGINEERING MATERIAL

GENERAL INFORMATIONThe information given below is provided for clarification and assistancein meeting the requirements of this specification.5.1 This material contains epoxy resins and curing agents that undercertain conditions of use could be considered toxic. Prolongedand repeated skin contact with this material should be removedwith soap and water. Tools, equipment and fabricated parts can becleaned with solvents such as Xylol (M14J245) or Chlorothene(M5B58).
