SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a preservative engine oil consisting of a blend of highly refined, mineral, lubricating oil with suitable additives that meets the requirements of Military Speci

3、fication MIL-L-21260 and is equivalent in viscosity to SAE 5W. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for oil used to lubricate the speedometer frame assembly bearing. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must con

4、form to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 VISCOSITY (ASTM D 88) 3.1.1 At -17.8 C, max 863.5 cS (mm2/s) 3.1.2 At 98.9 C, min 3.9 cSt (mm2/s) 3.2 POUR POINT, max -35 C (ASTM D 97) 3.3 FLASH POINT, min 166 C (ASTM D 92) 3.4 FIRE POINT, min 188 C (ASTM D 92) 3.5 ACID NEUTRALIZING (FLTM BJ 008-01) No corrosion, staining or other attack shall be evident on the panels. 3.6 VOLATILE MATTER, max 2% (ASTM D 972, 4 h at 100 C) 3.7 WATER CONTENT None (ASTM D 95) 3.8 HUMIDITY CORROSION RESISTANCE, min 200 h (FLTM BJ 107-03) Note: Similar to M-4834-C.
