SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a round extruded tempered aluminum tube (coil, straight lengths and/or formed). 2. APPLICATION This material was released originally for production hairpins for
3、condenser and evaporator in automotive air conditioning systems. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). The control chart shall be maintaine
4、d by supplier for inside diameter, wall thickness and concentricity. The data must be available on request by Product Engineering and Manufacturing Plant. 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION PERCENTAGE The tubing shall be porthole grade, extruded and sized. Page 2 of 2 3.4 PRESSURE TEST The tube, when subjected to an internal pressure of 12.1 MPa for 1 minute, shall show no evidence of leakage. 3.5 EXP
7、ANSION TEST The tube shall be capable of being expanded on a hardened polished steel pin having an included angle of 60, to 45% of the outside diameter for tubes of 19 mm nominal outside diameter and under without signs of cracks, ruptures or other defects clearly visible to the unaided eye. 3.6 LEA
8、KS The tube shall not leak more than the equivalent of 0.71 g/year when subjected to an internal refrigerant pressure (R-12 or R-22) of 2.07 MPa. 3.7 MOISTURE CONTENT There shall be no free moisture (visible water) present on the interior surfaces of the tube. 3.8 INTERNAL CLEANLINESS 0.022 g/m2(AST
9、M B 210, para 14.2) In addition, tubing internal surfaces shall be free of scale, corrosion, embedded materials or other similar foreign material. 3.9 FINISH The tube, as supplied, shall have a clean matte appearance having a slight oil coating and with no visible signs of any mechanical imperfections (dents, scratches) or damage (internally or externally). 3.10 PACKAGING Shall be per Packaging manufacturing plant requirements.
