SCOPEThe material defined by this

2、specification is a solvent release, syntheticelastomer based adhesion primer.2. APPLICATIONThis material was originally released as a primer on cleaned polycarbonatesurfaces before bonding with double sided pressure sensitive tapeESK-M3G134-A. Prior to the release for a particular application and in

3、addition to the requirements specified herein, full evaluation as acomponent of a specific trim product must be ensured by the affectedComponent Engineering activity.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 COLOR Light brown or as specified onEngineering Drawing3.2 DENSITY at 20 C 0.83 +/- 0.10 g/cm3(ASTM D 1475)3.3 SOLI

4、DS, min 10 %(FLTM EU-BV 50-10)3.4 ASH, max 0.5 %(FLTM EU-BV 50-10)3.5 VISCOSITY at 20 C 50 - 200 MPa.s(Brookfield LVT, Spindle No. 1,Rotational Frequency 20/minute)3.6 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/orthermal analysis of

5、material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shallconstitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference st

7、l to normal production use.3.8 SUBSTANCE CONTROLLegal, health, safety a nd environmental constraints may apply to themate rials which are submitted for approval to this specification.Refer to Engineering Material Specification SK-M99P9999-A.3.9 SOURCE OF SUPPLYThis material must be b ought from the

8、supplier of adhesive tape usedin connection with this primer.3.10 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition,constr

9、 uction, color, processing or labeling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the

10、 proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrict

11、ions aredefined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of inter

12、est from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstrating

13、ful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment o

14、f suitability for intended processes and/or applications. GENERAL INFORMATIONThe information given below is provided for clarification and

15、assistancein meeting the requirements of this specification.5.1 FLASH POINT Below 21 C(ASTM D 56)5.2 DRYING TIME at 23 +/- 2 C15 to 20 minutes after application (in a wet film thickness ofapprox. 0.1 mm) before assembling with adhesive tape.3.5 STORAGE STABILITY(From date of receipt at Ford Motor Company)6 months when stored between 5 C and 28 C.
