APPLICATIONThe material was originally released to be applied to wh eel arches in orderto meet styling requirements.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 COMPOSITIONSynt hetic resins and suitable

3、pigments dispersed in essentiallywater.3.2 PHYSICAL PROPERTIES3.2.1 Non-Volatile(FLTM EU-BI 2-1)According to initial sample report +/- 1.3.2.2 Package Viscosity(FLTM EU-BI 11-1)According to initial sample report +/- 5 seconds.3.2.3 Density(FLTM EU-BI 2-2)According to initial sample report +/- 0.05.3

6、ee f rom settling which cannot be dispersed by normalagitation.3.3 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS3.3.1 Pane ls prepared according to the paint process for wheelarches of the relevant plant, using the same materials (e.gPVC) as in use there.3.3.2 Test panels according t o FLTM EU-BJ 3-2, B 6, using top c

7、oatwh ich is the most critical regarding adhesion of materialsapplied on top.Spray Viscosity: As recommended by supplierDry film thickness: 20 - 30 micrometre3.4 AGEINGTest panels shall be aged for 1 week at room temperature prior totesting.3.5 FILM PROPERTIES3.5.1 Color Black3.5.2 Gloss 20 - 50(FLT

8、M EU-BI 10 - 1, 60 deg glossmeter)3.5.3 DryingTack free after 15 minutes at room temperature. 10、7 SUBSTANCE CONTROLLegal, health, safety a nd environmental constraints may apply to themate rials which are submitted for approval to this specification.Refer to Engineering Material Specification SK-M99P9999-A.3.8 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equival

11、ent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition,constr uction, color, processing or labeling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials

12、ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be

13、 submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONESK-M62J22-AWP 3948-b Page 4 of 4 4. APPROVAL

14、 OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponr

15、equest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not

16、 nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Uponapprov al, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.
