SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an air drying elastic 2K polyester knifing glaze for plastic parts which shall be repaired at dealer locations. 2. APPLICATION This specificati
3、on was released originally for material which is used as a knifing glaze to remove defects on all plastic parts except soft PUR. The material is only used after addition of peroxide hardener SK-M99J9620-A. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part
4、 producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 COMPOSITION 3.1.1 Vehicle Elastic polyester resin. 3.2 PHYSICAL PROPERTIES 3.2.1 Solids (FLTM BI 102-01) According to initial sample report +/- 2%. 3.2.2 Viscosity as Supplied Paste 3.2.3 Den
5、sity (ASTM D 1475) According to initial sample report +/- 0.05. 3.2.4 Flash Point The flash point shall conform to the safety regulations applicable to the workshop or plant where the material shall be used. 3.2.5 Shelf Stability Minimum 12 months at room temperature as supplied in the closed origin

7、ues with suitable solvents or process. 3.3.3 Substrate Preparation and Knifing Glaze Application Apply to the middle of the test panel 5 parallel scribes of 10 - 15 mm using a needle as described in FLTM BI 106-01. Wipe off the test specimen and apply material under test into the scribed cavities us
8、ing a flexible knife. 3.3.4 Knifing Glaze Mixing Ratio with Hardener SK-M99J9620-A As specified by vendor Pot Life 5 - 6 minutes at 20 C Reaction Temperature, min +5 C 3.3.5 Sanding Ready to dry sand after 60 minutes air drying at 20 C. Use sanding paper with a suitable grain. 3.3.6 Application of A
9、dhesion Agent Apply suitable adhesion agent if required, e.g. ESK-M99J328-A, prior to knifing glaze application. Apply intended primer/enamel or enamel system according to relevant material specification. 3.4 FILM AND RESISTANCE PROPERTIES Handle testing according to relevant material specification. 3.5 SUBSTANCE CONTROL Legal, health, safety and environmental constraints may apply to the materials which are submitted for approval to this specification.
