2、Inc. PRIMER, ANAEROBIC ADHESIVES ESW-M2G159-A NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a surface primer and cleaner. When applied by spray, brush, or dip to metal substrates, it shall cause polymerization of the applied anaerobic adhesive, after assembly o
3、f the parts and normal room temperature cure. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for a material used to accelerate room temperature cure (polymerization) of the anaerobic adhesive. Accelerated cures provide for defixturizing of parts in a matter of minutes rather than several
4、hours. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 3.1.1 Color Yellow 3.1.2 Specific Gravity 1.12 - 1.28 (ASTM D 2

However, on warm
7、ing to 27 +/- 1 C and shaking, the material shall be clear, homogeneous, free from foreign materials and properties detrimental to normal production operations. 3.1.7 Locking Strength, min 100 lb-in (12 N.m) Test Method: Using fine threaded nuts and bolts described in FLTM BV 12-1, apply the primer,
8、 ESW-M2G159-A, to both the nuts and bolts by spray, brush, or dip. Air dry thoroughly, 5 to 10 min. Apply the nuts to the bolts and screw on until approximately 5/8 in (16 mm) of the threaded ends of the bolts protrude. Apply anaerobic compound, ESE-M4G167-A2 by means of the applicator nozzle to com

Test Method: Condition a bottle of the primer in a mechanical convection oven maintained at 49 +/- 1 C for
12、 10 days. After cooling to 23 +/- 2 C re-determine the viscosity (para 3.1.3) and the locking strength (para 3.1.7 test (a) only). 3.2 ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS Of the above qualification tests, material from each batch produced by the manufacturer shall be required to pass only the following tests fo
