3、d Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 OC and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Cut 100 x 100 mm speci
4、mens at random from across the width of the roll and build up to a pile not less than 25 mm in thickness. 2. Condition specimens for 24 h at 23 +/- 2 OC and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity. (The measurements must also be made in a room maintained under these conditions.) 3. Place the square (85 g) plat
5、en over the specimens and measure the thickness (using the vernier gage or equivalent) at the four corners of the platen. (Use other weight platens as specified by the applicable Engineering Material Specification, e.g., a 280 g platen is to be used when firm padding materials are to be tested.) 4.
6、Take the average of these four values and divide by the number of layers to obtain the thickness. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
