2、amount of warp in paper board materials, such as asphalt forming board, resin panel board, etc. Apparatus Required Warp Test Fixture - see sketch. Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/ - 2 C and 50 +/ -
3、 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Cut two samples, each 6 inches wide and 17 inches long, one with the grain and one across the grain. 2. Cut a 1/2 x 2 inch slot in the center of one end of eac
4、h test specimen. Place the test specimen in the fixture shown in the sketch and move the adjustable bracket forward so that 15 inches of the test specimen are exposed between the two brackets of the fixture and tighten the wing nut. Place a 1/2 inch steel rod on the free end of the test specimen whi
5、ch will allow free movement during warping but which will prevent this end from curling up. 3. Immerse the fixture and test specimen under 1 inch of water at 70 +/ - 2 F for the time required by the material specification. 4. Remove from the water and measure the maximum height the sampl e has risen
6、 from the base plate of the fixture. 5. Repeat the test on the other sample which was cut in the opposite direction. 6.
