2、 is used to determine the adhesive properties of bonding materials to automotive body substrates. Apparatus Required Cross Lap Fixture The cross lap fixture shown in Figure 1 and 2 is used to position and secure the test assembly during the material testing. Tensile Machine The tensile machine shall
3、 have a range of 0 - 136 kg with an accuracy of 0.5 % of the range. Oven A mechanical convection oven capable of obtaining 190 C metal temperature on body steel 0.89 mm within 8 - 10 minutes. Panels The test panels shall be cut into 25 x 75 mm coupons from each substrate as specified by the material

Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated he rein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/ - 2 C and 50 +/ - 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Condition assemblies for 16 - 24 h at 23 +/ - 2 C and 50 +/ - 5 % relative humidity before normal testing or subjecting to environment al exposures. 7. Place the assembly in the test fixture mounted on the tensile machine and cond
