、ermine the sag resistance of adhesive and sealant materials. Apparatus Required Oven A mechanical convection oven capable of obtaining 190 C metal temperature on CRLC steel (0.89 mm) within 8 - 10 minutes (Blue M Model No. POM-166A-GX or equivalent). Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values
、indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Apply a 25 x 150 mm ribbon of material at the thickness a
、nd on the substrate indicated in the material specification. Scribe the test panel by the bottom edge of the ribbon. This mark will indicate the position of the bottom edge of the ribbon prior to the test. (Scribe mark should not extend across the sag path of the ribbon.) 2. Position the panel in a
、vertical attitude with the 150 mm dimension of the ribbon vertical and condition at 23 +/- 2 C for 1 h. 3. Bake the panel in a mechanical convection oven at the material cure schedule indicated in the material specification. Position the panel as described in para 2 in the oven. (The panel should be
、 perpendicular to the horizontal air stream with the material ribbon facing away from the air source. Protect the panel from direct air through the use of a blank panel located between the air source and test assembly 150 to 300 mm apart (see Figure 1). 4. Allow the panel to cool to 23 +/- 2 C. Dete
、rmine the sag by measuring the material movement below the scribe mark. 5. Repeat the above procedure for each cure cycle required by the material specification. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
