2、he bridging ability of sealers. Apparatus Required Test Fixture Constructed from steel body skin panels - dimensions (refer to Figure 1). Degreased in 1,1,1, trichlorethane vapor. Surface finish 1.4 +/- 0.3 micro-metre CLA. Mechanical Convection Oven Capable of maintaining temperatures up to 250 +/-
3、 2 C. Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Ha
4、nd stir a 1 litre sample vigorously with a 40 mm wide spatula for 1 minute. Prepare 6 test fixtures by applying a bead of sealer, 8 mm in diameter, as shown in Figure 1 into the groove formed by the 2 panels. 2. Condition each specimen for 10 minutes at 23 +/- 2 C. 3. Cure 3 specimens in accordance
5、with the minimum curing cycle, and 3 specimens in accordance with the maximum curing cycle of FLTM BV 150-05, Table 2. 4. Condition all specimens for 2 h at 23 +/- 2 C. 6、m each specimen and measure the sag through length of the sealer in millimeters. Examine the sealer to determine if bridging ability has been maintained as required by the applicable Engineering Material Specification. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
