Water circulating through this lamp absorbs long infrared wavelengths. As this is a gas discharge lamp it will, with continued use, progressively drop in in

Postfach 2480 6500 Mainz 1 Control of Radiation Intensity During the first few hours of operation the burner tube and its inner and outer f
7、ilter glasses rapidly change in their transmission characteristics. After this, a point of stabilisation is reached and further changes occur at a much slower rate and can be compensated by raising the voltage of the burner tube. The automatic control of the intensity of radiation is at 310 nm to 60
8、 W/cm2 nm. The test and the control are made behind the absorption edge filter WG 280. This filter has no influence on the intensity of radiation at 310 nm. Black Panel Temperature During illumination the mean black panel temperature is 60 C. The black panel should be replaced after 4000 hours of us
9、e, as the surface is slowly changed by the UV-radiation. Air Temperature During the illumination period: 50 C During the dark period: 10 C Heat is introduced into the test chamber by radiation from the arc lamp and if necessary by additional electric air heaters. Heat is removed from the chamber by

Humidity Range At least 90 % relative humidity at black panel thermometer range of 60 - 88 C. During the dark period the relative hu
11、midity approaches 100 %. Spray System Nozzles made from stainless steel - 6 in total. (Front 4 x No. 50. Back 2 x FI2) Delivery Rate: 5 1/min at 0.8 - 1.3 bar pressure. Water Spray: Demineralised water must be used. Conductivity: Maximum 20 S cm-1 at 25 C. Water temperature: 15 +/- 2 C. The circulat
12、ing water is collected in a tank and must be cleaned through an ion exchange unit and a mixed bed filter (to remove silicates, which would result in sediments being deposited on the panels). Note: Due to temperatures involved the ion exchange unit and circulating tank must be made from stainless ste

14、 Cycle If not specified otherwise in the relevant Engineering Materials Specification the following test cycle is used: (A special cam is required to produce this programme). 1. Light exposure: Alternating for 150 min illumination. 30 min darkness 2. Spray exposure: Alternating for 10 min rain. 10 m

Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere o
16、f 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure and Evaluation Preparation of the test panels as described in the relevant Material Specification and Ford Laboratory Test Method. The test
17、 panels are submitted to an exposure test period of 1000 instrument hours or as specified in the relevant Material Specification. After completion of every 200 hours the test panels are removed from the weatherometer and submitted to water immersion for 3 hours as described in the Laboratory Test Me
18、thod EU-BI 104-01. (a) Gloss (as described in FLTM BU-BI 110-01). To evaluate the gloss retention the initial gloss
19、is set to 100 %. The gloss retention (R) is calculated by the following equation: R = g x . 100 % go gx = actual gloss go = initial gloss (b) Blistering Report any evidence of blistering. (c) Cracking Report any evidence of cracking. (d) Loss of Adhesion Evaluate the panels for chipping and any visi
20、ble loss of adhesion. Final Evaluation After completion of the entire test programme check panels for loss of adhesion in line with FLTM EU-BI 106-01, Section Method C (but only one cut). Note: After finishing the test cycle report any occurrence of gloss retention, blistering, cracking and loss of
21、adhesion. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly.
