Note that no metal flake is acceptable, regardless of particle density. 3.10 FUNCTIONAL PROPERTIES The test thinner shall demonstrate equivalent effective cleaning performance without any compatibility problems with any materials used in the spray booth (1). It shall not rust black iro
11、n pipe or equipment parts. Threaded pipe must be rust-free after soaking 30 days (2). (1) The solvent shall perform efficiently and effectively in a simulated color change apparatus. (2) A clean steel panel immersed in a covered glass container of the solvent shall not exhibit any corrosion after 72
12、 hours of aeration with clean, dry air. This test shall be conducted on all blends containing recycled solvents. 3.11 ODOR The odor of the thinner shall not be objectionable or disagreeable and shall duplicate the odor of the original thinner approved for production.
