2、tone free diacetone alcohol. 2. APPLICATION: This material is generally used as a solvent for electrostatic paints. 3. REQUIREMENTS: 3.1 SPECIFIC GRAVITY: (60/60F) 0.93 - 0.94 (ASTM D 1298) 3.2 DISTILLATION RANGE: Below 275F (135C) None (ASTM D 1078) Below 316F (158C) 5% max Above 338F (170C) None N

3、ote: The distillation shall be conducted at 760 mm or corrected thereto by 0.09F (0.04C) for every millimeter under 760. 3.3 ACIDITY: (ASTM D 1613) Calculated as acetic acid 0.05% maximum. This is equivalent to .47 milligram KOH per gram sample. 3.4 WATER SOLUBILITY: (ASTM D 1722) Miscible with dist

4、illed water in all proportions without turbidity. 3.5 WATER: No turbidity when one volume is mixed with 19 volumes of 7.6 Specific gravity (Ref: 60 Be) gasoline at 68F (20C). 3.6 COLOR: Water White 3.7 ODOR: Mild, pleasant and non- (ASTM D 1296) residual 3.8 NON-VOLATILE MATTER: Not more than 0.01 g

The curves established for initial approval shall constitute the reference s

6、tandard and shall be kept on file at Central Laboratory. All samples shall produce curves that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions as those specified on the master curve. 7、l materials supplied to this standard must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted, and shall be suitable for the intended application. Changes in composition shall not be made without approval of Manufacturing Engineering and Systems Office, M

8、anufacturing Staff. 3.12 IDENTIFICATION: Materials supplied to this standard shall be identified with the M-number printed on the side as well as the top of the containers in letters at least 2“ (50 mm) high in a contrasting color to that of the container. Container marking shall be in accordance wi

9、th Manufacturing Standard ZF-10 and conform to all Federal, State, and local container contents labeling regulations which are in effect both in the area of shipment and use. 4. APPROVAL OF NEW SUPPLIERS: Materials submitted by new manufacturers to this standard must have Industrial Hygiene, Environ

10、mental Engineering, Laboratory and Shop Trial approvals. Suppliers are required to complete and submit the material health and Safety Data Sheet (Form 1291), and the Environmental Data Sheet (Form 68-100) prior to Shop Trial. Recommendations for the addition of new manufacturers to the Manufacturing

11、 Approved Source List (ASL) must be made in writing to the responsible Manufacturing Staff Office by the appropriate divisional standards activity in accordance with Manufacturing Procedure IId1. 5. ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL: Use of any material approved to this standard must comply with the guidelines

12、as established in the environmental review of the material as they appear in the Materials and Toxicology (MATS) System. 6. HEALTH AND SAFETY: Caution, Flammable Material. May cause eye and skin irritation. Avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact. For eye contact, flush eyes 15 minutes with water and secure medical attention. Use of impervious gloves and goggles recommended. Must provide adequate ventilation (contact Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology).
