SEl-216 Glove Body Flame Retardant - With Aldura-Type Gauntlet SBl-21C Flame Retardant Reversible Terry Cloth Gauntlet Glove AATERI AL: Terry cloth shall be produced from cotton yarn of minimum middling 15/l& (23.7nmn) staple weig
3、hing 32 ounces per square yard. This material to be consserc i al 1 y pioccssed to produce a permanent f 1 ame retardant cloth. red in color, which shall be its distinguishing mark. Flame retardancy of this material will be determined in accordance with the test processes outlined in Ford Laboratory
4、 Test Nethod BN 24-2, pages 3-5. - Gauntlet stock for Sal-218 shall be No.8 white numbered duck 18- ounce weight without sizing. Gauntlet material for SBl-21C shall be the same as the glove body, namely 32-ounce red flame retardant terry cloth. Thread shall be red in color and of 24/4 Sak quality. k

APPROVAL OF NEW SUPPLERS: 6.1 P
9、ricing of gloves from proposed new suppliers should be determined to be cost competitive by Purchasing and Supply Staff prior to obtaining laboratory and shop trail approvals. After the product has been determined to be cost competitive, gloves submitted by new manufacturers to this standard and con
10、cluded to be cost competitive must have laboratory and shop trial approvals. Recommendations for the addition of new manufacturers to the nanufacturing Approved Source List (ASL) must be made by the appropriate division standards activity in writing to the Plant Engineering Office. Al 1 supporting data must accompany the written request. The Plant Engineering Office, bnufacturing Staff, and the Environmental Health and Safety Aanager, Employee Relations Staff, will review requests to determine approval. . .
