APPLICATIONThese specifications were originally released for materials used forcle aning operations for metallic basecoats S-M32J110-B, solid colortopcoats SK-M98J9552-A and clearcoats SK-M32J9553-A.3. REQUIREM

3、ENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStand ard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation i

4、n the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallcon

5、st itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. All samples sha ll produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 COMPOSITIONSK-M14J9561-A: Blend of aromatic hydrocarbons, g lycoleth

Dipphosphated test panels (UMA 18005) into the dilu ted enamel ina vertical position and dry for 24 hours at roo

10、m temperature20 +/- 3 C, also in a vertical position.Tes t: Fill thinners SK-M14J9556-A, S-M14J245-A and thethinner under test into beakers. Dip one prepar ed test panelinto each beaker so that half of it is dipped into thethinner. Leave it there without stirring until the enamel iscompletely dissol

12、ng Engineering Quality Controland supplier, minimum 350 k Ohm cm.3.5 QUALITYThe thinner must be ada ptable for application in accordance with theappropriate Ford Motor Company Process Specification. It shall notcontain any ingredients causing craters or deteriorate wettability.3.6 SUPPLIERS RESPONSI

13、BILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition,constr uction, color, processing or labeling of the materialorig inally approved under thi

14、s specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivit

15、y. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.4. APPROVAL O

16、F MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponreq

17、uest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not n

18、ominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Uponapprov al, the materia
