2、PEThe material defined by this specification is a two side pressuretransparent non-woven fiber tape, protected with release paper. Theadhesive is based on acrylate resins.2. APPLICATIONThe mat erial is generally used to bond PVC sheeting to clean and greasefree sur faces (e.g. door inner panel) and/

7、red original value.3.8 RESISTANCE TO DEWAXING COMPOUND No leaksTest Method:1) Prepare 150 x 300 mm test panels according to FLTM EU-BI 3-2.2) Apply test strips of tape to test panels as shown in sketch.3) Cover the whole area of panels with 180 x 300 mm PVC sheeting(pro duction material according to

8、 SK-M2F9504-A) and bond undermaximum finger pressure.4) After 2 hours at room temperature fill the assembly with dewaxingco mpound and suspend in vertical position for 24 hours at roomtemperature.3.9 COLD ADHESION No chippingTest Method:1) Apply a 20 x 19 mm piece of tape to a degreased aluminum foi

10、n angleof 180 deg in 5 s econds around the mandrel with tape facing awayfrom the mandrel.3.10 QUALITYThe material shall be a smooth, homogeneous mixt ure free from foreignmaterials and properties detrimental to normal production use.3.11 TOXICITYThe material shall be non-toxic and shall not cause sk

11、in rash orirritation to exposed handlers in normal production operations.3.12 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, compos

12、ition,constr uction, color, processing or labeling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering act

13、ivity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document.

14、The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an express

15、ion of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, d

16、emonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on an

17、assessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications.
