SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a chromate (CrIII) passivating solution. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for materials used as passivating agents w

3、ith zinc phosphate coatings. It is used in combination with SKM-5B9574-B Phosphate Solution, Zinc, pH Correction Agent. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials

4、 (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION CrIII as Cr 7.0 +/- 0.5 % Test Method 10 mL of the solution are filled up to 1000 mL with distilled water. 15 mL of this solution are mixed with 10 mL diluted sulphuric acid 50 % by volume. Add 2 mL silver nitrate solution (1 %) and 10 g ammonium peroxydis

5、ulphate (NH4)2S208and heat up to boiling. After temperature is above 90 C add 10 mL of a 5 % NaCl solution. Leave boiling for 10 minutes and cool down. Add 25 mL of a 0.1 n FeSO4solution (define factor) Titrate with 0.1 n K2Cr207solution against bariumdiphenylamine sulphonate (1 mL of a 0.3 % contai

6、ning solution in water), from green to blue violet.
