12、ns of components, and compo sites definedby this specification that have not been treated , modified orreformulated, and exceed a maximum burn rate of 75 mm perminute as specified by the Flammability Lot Sampling Plan ofFLTM EU-BN 24-2, must be evaluated for permanency of thematerials flame retardan
13、t properties per SK-M99P9500-A,Ta ble 1 according to the accelerated environmental ageingre quirements applicable to the basic material category ofthis particular specification.Any material, portions of components, and composites definedby this specification that have been treated, modified orreform
14、ulated to conform to Flammability Lot Sampling Plan ofFLTM E U-BN 24-2, regardless of maximum burn rate, must beevaluated for both permanency of materials flame retardantproperties and changes in mechanical, chemical and physicalproperties per SK-M99P9500-A, Table 1 applicable to the basicmaterial c
15、ategory of this particular specification.3.3.8 Heat ResistanceNo carbonization or crumbling of fiber pad.Test M ethod: Place a 100 x 100 mm plane test piece ofmate rial under test horizontally onto a heating plate of190 +/- 2 C for 16 h. Cool to room temperature and examine.3.3.9 QUALITYThe mate ria
16、l shall be of uniform quality free from foreignmaterial and properties detrimental to normal pr oduction use.It shall not cause excessive soiling of handlers in normalproduction use.3.3.10 HEALTH HAZARDS AND ODORThe material must not contain any ingredients (matter),which, under normal production co

19、 the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written a
20、pproval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. 21、Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design

Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirement
23、s of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/
24、or applications. Uponapprov al, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.5.
