2、PEThe material defined by this specification is based on a dimethacrylateester resin which hardens to a polymeric solid in the absence of air oroxygen. Contact with active metal parts or elevated temperaturesaccelerate the cure speed. The product is designed for low tensilestrength to make disassemb

APPLICATIONThis material was originally released to seal rear axle housing cover byusing either nozzle dispensing or screen printing equipment and isapplicable for gap sizes up to 0.2 mm. When applied to big threads a gapof maximum 1 mm is acceptable. For fast speed of cure an ac
4、tivator (i.e.S-M4G4647-A) can be used. Prior to the release for a particularapplication and in addition to the requirements specified herein, fullevaluation under actual production conditions must be ensured by theaffected Component Engineering activity.3. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approv
17、alof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and
18、 authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based
19、 on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications.
