2、PEThe material defined by this specification is based on a dimethacrylateester resin which hardens to a polymeric solid in the absence of air oroxygen. Contact with active metal parts or elevated temperaturesaccelerate the cure speed. The product is designed for low tensilestrength to make disassemb

3、ly of parts easy.2. APPLICATIONThis material was originally released to seal rear axle housing cover byusing either nozzle dispensing or screen printing equipment and isapplicable for gap sizes up to 0.2 mm. When applied to big threads a gapof maximum 1 mm is acceptable. For fast speed of cure an ac

4、tivator (i.e.S-M4G4647-A) can be used. Prior to the release for a particularapplication and in addition to the requirements specified herein, fullevaluation under actual production conditions must be ensured by theaffected Component Engineering activity.3. T/C.2) Conditioning of material under test at 20 C.3) Let the material rest for 30 minutes.4) Start measuring with undisturbed material at a dipping depth ofspindle of 25 mm a

7、t 1/minute.5) After reaching of the third time the deepest spindle position,continue measuring in the same way at frequencies of 2.5/minuteand 5/minute.6) Record the values for each frequency at the lowest spindleposition (50 mm).7) The aver age result as calculated from single values at eachfrequen

9、. 2Test Method: Sleeves a nd pins are degreased, sealant applied to thepin and the inside of t he sleeves, and the two parts fitted togetherwithin one minute. The max load necessary to press out the pin isthen measured with a feed rate of 25 mm/minute a nd the shear strengthis then calculated on the

10、 contact area of the pin to sleeve.3.7.1 After 48 h at 23 +/- 2 C, min 80 N/cm33.8 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms establi

11、shed for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. 13、hall not separate while instorage and must be free from foreign material and propertiesdetrimental to normal production use.3.11 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pr

14、i or to making any change in the properties, composition,constr uction, color, processing or labeling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, T

15、oxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford,

16、 apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approv

17、alof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and

18、 authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based

19、 on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications.
