SCOPE The material required under this specification is a liquid hydrocarbon distillate, of petroleum origin compounded with a suitable stabilizer additive. 2. APPLICATION This material is intended for use as a developme
3、nt fuel for diesel engine vehicles. Additives are incorporated into the fuel to impart protection to the fuel system when used as initial fill or during extended storage of vehicles. As the minimum operating temperatures of diesel engines will be dependent on engine and vehicle fuel system design, o
4、perating conditions and other factors, low temperature properties of the fuel should be compatible with the mean ambient temperatures in the country of build/use. The fuel is not specifically intended for use in certification testing but may be used for Mileage Accumulation, Initial Fill or Engine H
5、ot Test. Fuels to BS 2869 Class A1 and DIN 51601 may also be used for initial fill applications only, provided that it is blended with Lubrizol 560 fuel additive. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Sta

12、ge accumulation applications shall be undyed. 3.19 CERTIFICATION The fuel shall be certified by the supplier with test results being submitted to Materials Engineering at agreed intervals. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION 5.1 TOXICITY AND ODOR Unless specific exemption is granted, materials supplied to the company shall not contain Benzene, Carbon-Tetra-Chloride or other ingredients deemed harmful to the operator, to the equipment or to the work being processed. The material shall be free from objectionable odor and shall remain so during normal periods of storage and use.
