2、TING 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a woven dobby polyester face fabric containing a minimum of 25% PIR/PCR (Post industrial/post consumer) recycled yarn. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for 2016 MY F150 s

3、eat insert. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is loc

4、ated within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M

5、8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest as applicable. 3.4 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in m

6、aterial submission package. 3.5 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment o

9、ye polyester yarn) 1150 Dtex (solution dye polyester yarn) 3.9 RECYCLED CONTENT Recycled yarn must contain a minimum of 25% recycled content PIR/PCR (Postindustrial/post consumer) as defined by WRS-M99P42-A2. The remaining portion of the material can come from virgin sources. Refer to the Approved S

10、ource List (ASL), for specific regional recycled levels for this material. Virgin yarn contains 100% virgin material. 3.10 METHOD OF DYEING Solution dyed 3.11 FINISHED OPERATIONS Washing, drying, heat set, resin treatment, backcoating Any changes to the above process must be approved by Materials En

11、gineering. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this

12、specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Program or regional duplication, each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If ya

13、rn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions. 14、PECIFICATION WRS-M1H1239-A23 Copyright 2016, Ford Global Technologies, LLC Page 3 of 3 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall s

15、ubmit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a m

16、inimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the materia

17、l upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and

18、Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Produ

19、ction Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1/latest which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
