SCOPE The mate

2、rial defined by this specification is a flat woven polyester face fabric containing a minimum of 25% PIR/PCR (Post Industrila/Post Consumer) recycled yarn. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for 2018 MY seat Bolster.The fabric was o

3、riginally approved as tri-laminated with foam and a backing scrim. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file,

4、or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed

5、herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest as applicable. 3.4 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Mate

6、rial/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.5 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the

8、 Fabric Weight, -/+5 % tolerance 240 g/m2 (FLTM BN 106-01) 3.7 COMPOSITION (ASTM D629) Fabric 100% polyester 3.8 YARN CONSTRUCTION (ASTM D1244) Warp 370 Dtex f96 (false twist) Weft 370 Dtex f96 , (false twist) Weft 370 Dtex f96 , (false twist, 100% recycled) 3.9 RECYCLED CONTENT Recycled yarn must c

9、ontain a minimum of 25% recycled content PIR/PCR (Postindustrial/post consumer) as defined by WRS-M99P42-A2. The remaining portion of the material can come from virgin sources. Refer to the Approved Source List (ASL), for specific regional recycled levels for this material. 3.10 METHOD OF DYEING Sol

10、ution dyed 3.11 FINISHED OPERATIONS Washing, drying, Pad SR, framing. Any changes to the above process must be approved by Materials Engineering. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact

11、 for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Program or regional duplication, each regional lo

12、cation of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3

13、/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Enginee

14、ring. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATION WRS-M1H1265-A21 Copyright 2017, Ford Global Technologies, LLC Page 3 of 3 of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with

15、 all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certif

16、ication testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials abili

17、ty to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and

18、components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restric

19、tions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1/latest which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
