2、PET, RECYCLED POLYESTER, NON WOVEN, WRS-M3H160-A2 RANDOM VELOUR, NEEDLED, FUSED BACK 542 g/m2 (16 oz) , BARRIER FILM 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a needled random velour non woven carpet of good quality and uniform composition. The carpet back is fused for improved abrasion

3、 resistance. 2. APPLICATION The A1 specification was released for rear trim applications in SUVs. A2 was released specific to back injection molded applications, such as rear side trim components of SUVs. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. O

4、nly the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST C

5、ONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA 3.3.1 In

6、 addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item floor carpet shall be tested to WSS-M8P16-B and any additional SDS requirements. The details for each of the suppliers specific construction shall be documented in the supplement attached and uploaded into the scanned data package. 3.3.2 Vehi

7、cle Interior Environment Quality Materials/Component Performance Requirements Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/ latest. Page 2 of 5 3.3.3 Recycled Content This specification must contain a minimum of 60% recycled content as defined by WRS-M99P42-A2 (Textile Materials, Identification of Recycled Content). 3.4 SAMPLE SELECTION All evaluations shall

9、 be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods prior to any subsequent operations, such as reheating or molding. 3.5 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and gloss shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.6 COMPOSITION 3.6.1 Face Fiber 85% Polyester (ASTM D276) UV Resista

GENERAL INFORMATION This information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specificat

14、ions. 4.1 DRAWING CALL OUT The following shall be called out on the Engineering drawing to correctly designate the approved material. WSS-M3H1160-A1 Supplier Name and Product Code WSS-M8P16-B 4.2 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of

15、 interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the M

16、aterial Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.

17、3 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification r

18、equirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineer

19、ing Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.4 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATION WRS-M3H160-A
