3、TE(PE-C), 80 A HARDNESS 1. SCOPE The material defined by these specifications is a chlorinated ethylene thermoplastic elastomer (TECE) molding compound. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for material used for exterior windshield moldings, door latch mechanism seal, and eng

4、ine service door latch. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Company Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 DYNAMIC MECHANICAL ANALYSIS (ASTM D 4065) Ford Motor Company, at its optio

5、n, may establish a shear modulus/ damping vs. temperature curves plotted for -50 to +170 C temperature range for material/parts supplied to this specification. The shear modulus and damping curves established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at t

6、he designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce shear modulus and damping curves that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.5 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN 3.5.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Unless otherwise specified, all tests shall be conducted on spec

7、imens die cut from injection molded plaques 150 x 100 x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm. The plaques shall be molded according to ISO 294 and film gated along the upper 100 mm edge. 13、 size required for material approval is 355 x 100 x 1.6 +/- 0.1 mm with a smooth surface. 3.7 WEATHERING RESISTANCE (A1/A2 only) After exposure in accordance with para 3.7.1, 3.7.2 and 3.7.3 the material shall show no color change in excess of specified Gray Scale rating (AATCC Evaluating Procedure

14、1/ISO 105-A02). In addition, there shall be no cracking, crazing or other deterioration. Specimen bent around 25 mm diameter mandrel shall not show any cracks when examined in bent condition. A slight loss of gloss or chalking will be allowed provided an acceptable appearance can be achieved by wash

15、ing with mild detergents and water (ratio 5:95 by volume).
