APPLICATION This specification was released originally for paint used for service to repair damaged

REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 COLOR

5、idence of cracking, blistering or peeling at the repaired area when exposed for four cycles as follows: . Oven heat at 90 C for 4 h . 7、ng Department after exposure in the weatherometer. 3.8.3 Florida Exposure (for qualification only) The material shall exhibit no checking, blistering or loss of adhesion, and no more dulling or color change than the approved sample on file in the Body Materials Engineering Department after 12 months
8、 minimum exposure at 5 facing south in the Miami, Florida area. Note: In the event of differences in test results between accelerated (3.9.2) and Florida (3.9.3) weathering, results of the Florida exposure shall govern. 3.8.4 Water Resistance After Weathering 24 h (FLTM BI 104-01) After either accel
9、erated (3.9.2) or Florida (3.9.3) weathering exposure, the part shall be immersed in water. There shall be no failure in the repaired gridline by blistering, dulling, color change, or loss of adhesion. Adhesion shall be determined as follows: Remove the part from the water. Dry the test area, using
10、a paper towel or cloth and immediately apply thumb pressure. Any movement or removal of the material shall be basis for rejection. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 CLEANUP Methyl eth
11、yl ketone (MEK) or acrylic lacquer solvents is recommended for cleanup of excess coating material. 5.2 RESISTIVITY Less than 1 ohm, measured across the repaired break of the gridline. 5.3 STABILITY The material does not freeze and will have a shelf life for one year. 5.4 FLASH POINT 17.8 C (Open Cup) 5.5 NORMAL GLASS CLEANING Commercial glass cleaners and ammonia do not affect the repair material.
