SCOPE The material described by this specification is an Ethylene/Propylene rubber compound with good resistance to ethylene glycol-based engine coolants. 2. APPLICATI

3、ON This specification was released originally for material used as a radiator tank gasket. The material has excellent resistance to compressive stress relaxation at temperatures up to 125 C. The material also has excellent resistance to splitting or bursting under combined conditions of compressive

4、strains up to 60% and temperatures up to 135 C. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MATERIAL TESTING 3.4.1 Preparation of Test Specim

5、ens Whenever possible, all test specimens shall be die-cut from the finished parts. When not feasible, specimens cut from molded test sheets manufactured from the same material and with equivalent cure to molded parts are recommended. The test sheets shall have the following dimensions: 150 x 150 mm

13、mm in length. Compress between metal plates by 60 +/- 2% of the original thickness. Age for 24 hours at 135 C, cool, release compression and examine both internally and externally. 5. 14、ents of this specification. 5.1 Use 49.75% Coolant Concentrate, 49.75% Distilled Water, 0.5% Hot-Test Stand Coolant Anti-Corrosion Additive ESD-M99B166-A for Ford European Automotive Operations use only. Otherwise, use 50% Coolant Concentrate +50% Distilled Water for all other Ford Operations, or as
