SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an ethylene/acrylic rubber with a nominal hardness of 80 IRHD. It is capable of continuous op
3、eration at temperatures up to 150 C and withstanding peak temperatures up to 175 C. The material remains serviceable at 40 C. 2. APPLICATION This specification was originally released for grommets and static seals for emission control, vacuum and crankcase ventilation system where good resistance to
4、 ozone and oil containing acidic aqueous condensate is required. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MATERIAL TESTING The following t
5、est shall be performed on finished parts and/or test specimens cut from them. The test specimens shall be die-cut from the finished parts and buffed or slit to the required thickness where necessary. When not feasible, specimen cut from molded test slabs manufactured from the same material and with
6、equivalent cure to molded parts are recommended.
