SCOPE The material defined by these specifications is an unsupported vinyl plastic film with a maximum thickne

3、ss of 0.5 mm. WSD-M2F173-A2 describes material with bi-axial orientation characteristics. 2 APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for material used in the manufacture of sunvisors or door and quarter trim panels using the HF-welding procedure, and/or as specified on Engineering D

4、rawings. 3. REQUIREMENTS In addition to the requirements listed herein, these materials must meet all the requirements of WSK-M98P3-A when supplied in a sunvisor assembly or door and quarter trim panels using the HF-welding procedure, and/or as specified on Engineering Drawings. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIRE

5、MENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 APPEARANCE (FLTM BI 109-01) The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Design Center master sample, or shall be as speci

6、fied on the engineering drawing. 3.4.1 Instrumental Color Readings * (FLTM BI 109-03) *Instrumental color readings may be required at the discretion of the affected Materials Engineering Activity or Trim Plant. No production batch shall deviate by more than 0.85 Delta E from the designated color mas

The appropriate specimens for this test must be submitted with the initial sample or when requested from the supplier. 3.7 SPEC

10、 min (FLTM BN 150-04, Test Speed 500 mm/minute) WMD 200% AMD 200% For materials defined by Materials Laboratory as “deeply grained“ the following requirements apply: WMD 150% AMD 130% 3.10 DIMENSIONAL STABILITY (FLTM BN 105-03, except as noted below) WSD-M2F173-A, max WSD-M2F173-A2, range WMD - 4.5%

11、 - 1.0 to - 4.0% AMD +/- 1.5% - 1.0 to - 4.0% Test Method: Draw a 250 x 250 mm square in the centre of a 300 x 300 mm specimen. Place the specimen in a mechanical convection oven maintained at 100 C for 15 minutes. The oven shall conform to ASTM D 573/ASTM E 145 Type IIA. Measure the dimensional cha

12、nges of the specimen after cooling to 23 +/- 2 C. Material supplied in panel form shall shrink no more than 0.5% during warehouse storage of 24 days at normal temperatures and relative humidities. 3.11 RESISTANCE TO “W“-FLEX 1000 cycles (FLTM BN 102-02) The material shall show no evidence of crazing

Page 3 of 5 3.12 RESISTANCE TO ABRASION 250 cycles (FLTM BN 108-02, CS-10 wheels, 1000 g load) After the wear test, the m

14、aterials wear pattern and color shall be compatible in appearance with the adjacent unabraded area of the wear test specimen. The abrasion resistance of production material shall be equal to or better than the sample approved by the Materials Engineering Activity. 3.13 SOILING AND CLEANABILITY (FLTM

15、 BN 112-01) Soiling, max 15% loss in reflectance Cleanability, max 5% loss in reflectance Cleanability Method: Rub back and forth ten times on the soiled specimen with a soft non-abrasive sponge that has been immersed in a mild soap solution (e.g. dishwashing soap solution); then recalculate the los

16、s in reflectance. 3.14 RESISTANCE TO FADE (SAE J1885, AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) 225.6 kJ/m2 Rating 4 488.8 kJ/m2 Rating 3 The specimen shall show no change in color tone (hue), change in gloss or evidence of spotting or any other surface changes, and must not exhibit any greater changes than the

17、 Master Sample approved by the Materials Engineering Activity. 3.14.1 Flexibility After Aging When the test specimen used for the Resistance to Fade test (para 3.14) is folded 180 upon itself (embossed side out) it shall not crack. 3.15 RESISTANCE TO MIGRATION STAINING AND BLOCKING (FLTM BN 103-01)

18、After test, the specimens or the Accessory Test Material must not show any surface deterioration, color change, change in color tone (hue), or any other defects and they must be equal to or better than the sample approved by the Materials Engineering Activity. 3.16 FOGGING (SAE J1756, 3 h at 100 C h

20、liers shall formulate their polymeric film for maximum stabilization without using compounds that may cause staining. Ford Motor Company, at its option, may require confirmation of compliance when tested per FLTM AN 102-01. 3.18 COLD FLEXIBILITY, min - 30 C (FLTM BN 102-01, except store for 4 hours)

21、 The material must remain flexible and after bending at a 180 angle it must exhibit no cracks. 3.19 RESISTANCE TO CROCKING, min (FLTM BN 107-01, AATCC Evaluation Procedure 3) Dry and Wet Rating 5 Cleaner* Rating 5 Ammoniated Glass Cleaner* Rating 5 * The material shall not exceed the above rating wh

22、en the crocking cloth is saturated with currently released Ford Motor Company aftermarket cleaner and an ammoniated glass cleaner. 3.20 ODOR, max Rating 2 (FLTM BO 131-01/SAE J1351) 3.21 CURL TEST The test specimen must not raise itself at any point more than 10 mm when tested as follows: Die cut ac

23、ross the width of the material four test specimens 100 x 100 mm in size with two of these taken at a distance of 25 mm from the selvedges of the roll. Place each specimen immediately on a smooth flat supporting surface (face side up) and measure the maximum distances between the supporting surfaces

24、and the underside of the specimens. After 15 minutes, repeat the same measurement and report the greatest degree of curl. 3.22 WELDABILITY The material must be capable of being HF-welded under normal production conditions to the appropriate other materials released for production and/or to itself, w

25、ithout any difficulties, and it must exhibit no faults or defects after HF-welding. 3.22.1 Bonded Seam Strength, N/50 mm, min (FLTM BN 151-01) Original, min 65 After Aging, min 55 After Humidity Aging, min 45 3.23 DEFECTS Each roll of material which shows on the average more than one defect per 10 m

26、 length, will be considered as “seconds“ and will be returned to the supplier unless other agreement is made. 27、which are shown: shade, number of meters, allowance (compensation) date of delivery etc. Furthermore, each batch must bear a consecutive number i.e. the goods which are manufactured with one color mix must bear the same batch number. All faults and defects within one roll must be visibly marked with

28、 white flags on the edges, and an allowance of 50 cm be made for each defect. The allowance compensation must be on the total width of the material and it must be recorded on the label. No roll must contain more than two individual pieces. Each individual piece must be marked with a red flag and a c

29、ompensation of 50 cm must be made for it. 3.25 FLAMMABILITY (ISO 3795/SAE J369) Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute 5.
