SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a polypropylene cut pile, velour, tufted carpet with polyolefin or alternative approved resin backcoating. 2. APPLICATION This specification
3、 was released originally for material used in the following CDW27 wagon applications. WSD-M3H100-A1 Interior Floor Covering WSD-M3H100-A2 Squab Back WSD-M3H100-A3 Exposed Load Compartment Floor Covering WSD-M3H100-A4 Side Walls Covering 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESS Suppliers must conform
4、to the requirements of Ford Quality System Standard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as described therein is required for material/source approval. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data so that variation in the final product is continuously reduced. 3.2
5、INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS Ford Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/or thermal analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification. The IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be ke
6、pt on file at the designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 7、 All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. 3.4 SAMPLE SELECTION Wherever possible, all evaluatio
8、ns shall be conducted on test specimens taken from the production carpet assemblies. Wherever shown, the asterisk indicates that test samples must be taken from footwell area. 3.5 APPEARANCE (FLTM BI 109-01) The colour, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Design Centre master sample, or sha

Using a pilling machine (or equivalent) with 1 kg load on the clamp holder rub the cutting
17、s into the carpet for 10 minutes. Remove the test specimen and vacuum clean the soiled area. There should be no cuttings trapped in the carpet fibres. 3.15 ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING The cover material shall show no evidence of delamination, shrinkage, tackiness or exhibit any colour tone change. Any spo
18、tty or non-uniform staining or discolouration shall be cause for rejection. 21、uivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. 22、lly approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology and the affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changes and obtain the written approval of the Mate
23、rials Engineering activity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification are to be submitted with the request. Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are defined in Engineering Material Specification WS
24、S-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification must have prior approval by the responsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from the affected Purchasing, Design and Materials E
25、ngineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineering activity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorised representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this spe
26、cification (test results, not nominal values), the material designation and code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of a material will be based on its performance to this specification and on an assessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applicati
27、ons. Upon approval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List. 5.
