SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a moulded part covered with random needled carpet. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for material used in the follo

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESS Suppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality System Standard Q-101. A mutually

4、 acceptable Control Plan as described therein is required for material/source approval. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data so that variation in the final product is continuously reduced. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS Ford Motor Company

5、 at its option, may conduct infrared and/or thermal analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification. The IR spectra and thermogram established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material laboratory. All samples shall pr

6、oduce IR spectra and thermogram that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not l

7、ess than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. 10、ent Specification specified on the Engineering Drawing. 3.6.1 Resistance to Abrasion, min 100 cycles (FLTM BN 108-02, 500 g, H-10 wheels) After testing, the specimen must not show any greater signs of deterioration than the sample originally approved by the Materials Engineering Activity. 3.6.2 Resi

11、stance to Scuffing, min 100 cycles (FLTM BN 108-04, 900 g, A head) After testing, the specimen must not show any greater signs of deterioration than the sample originally approved by the Materials Engineering Activity. 12、97-A4 WP 3948-b Page 3 of 5 3.6.3 Resistance to Snagging, min 50 cycles (FLTM BN 108-07, 500 g, H-18 wheels) After testing, the specimen shall not show any signs of surface snagging or pilling of individual fibres or yarns greater than the sample originally approved by the Materials Engineering Acti

13、vity. 3.6.4 Resistance to Fade (SAE J1885, AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) 112.8 kJ Rating 4.0 The material shall show no change in colour tone or evidence of spotting and it shall be equal to or better than the samples originally approved by the Materials Engineering Activity. 3.6.5 Resistance to Wat

14、er Rating 5.0 (FLTM AN 101-01, AATCC Procedure 3) 3.6.6 Resistance to Heat Aging (7 days at 90 +/- 2 C) Colour Change, min Rating 4 (AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) The cover material shall show no evidence of delamination, tackiness, or exhibit a colour tone change. Any spotty or non-uniform staining

17、WP 3948-b Page 4 of 5 3.6.9 Environmental Testing The cover material shall show no objectionable shrinkage or distortion, no evidence of delamination, tackiness or exhibit any colour tone change. Any spotty or non-uniform staining or discolouration shall be cause for rejection. Part submitted to 3 c

19、plets or coalescence into a clear film is cause for rejection. 3.6.12 Flammability (ISO 3795/SAE J369) Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute 3.7 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Specific requirements for material and/or manufactured parts shall be specified on the engineering drawing, engineering parts specification

All critical areas with respect to these properties shall be designated on the Engineering drawing. 3.8 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originall

21、y granted. Prior to making any changes in the properties, composition, construction, colour, processing or labelling of the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notif

22、y Purchasing, Toxicology and the affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changes and obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity. The restrictions are defined in Engineering Material specification WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials de

24、fined by this specification must have prior approval by the responsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from the affected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shal

25、l submit to the affected Materials Engineering activity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification (test results, not nominal values), the m

26、aterial designation and code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of a material will be based on its performance to this specification and on an assessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Upon approval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List.
