、obal Technologies, LLC Page 1 of 3 TUBE, CHLOROSULPHONATED POLYETHYLENE (CSM) WSD-M96D27-A RUBBER, MODERATE OIL RESISTANCE NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a chlorosulphonated polyethylene rubber tube with good resistance to ozone, vacuum collapse
、and tearing. It is capable of continuous operation at temperatures up to 110 C and withstanding peak temperatures up to 130 C. The material remains serviceable at -30 C and is moderately resistant to hot oil but has poor resistance to highly aromatic and oxygenated fuels. 2. APPLICATION The material
、 was released originally for use as engine compartment tubing for emission control, vacuum and crankcase ventilation systems where exposure to fuel vapors and hot oil will be minimal or where the resultant dimensional changes and softening are not detrimental. If prolonged resistance to fuel vapors
、and/or hot oil at temperatures exceeding 110 C is required then WSD-M96D9-A/A2 should be considered. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A).
、3.4 TUBE CONSTRUCTION The tube shall consist of a single extrusion or molding of chlorosulphonated polyethylene rubber without internal or external fabric reinforcement. 3.5 MATERIAL TESTING 3.5.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Whenever possible, all test specimens shall be die-cut from the finished
、parts. When not feasible, specimens cut from molded test sheets manufactured from the same material and with equivalent cure to molded parts are recommended. The test sheets shall have the following dimensions: 150 x 150 mm, min x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm 3.6 ORIGINAL PROPERTIES 3.6.1 Hardness, International
