SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a high durometer, good compression set and oil resistance gasket with the ability to service at temperatures be

3、tween -60 to +200 C. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as oil filter adaptor gasket. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Ma

4、terials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MATERIAL TESTING 3.4.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Whenever possible, all test specimens shall be die-cut from the finished parts. When not feasible, specimens cut from molded test sheets manufactured from the same material and with equivalent cure to molded parts are

The test sheets shall have the following dimensions: 150 x 150 mm, min x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm 3.4.2 Density 1.33 - 1.39 g/cm3(ISO 1183, Method A/ASTM D 297) 3.4.3 Hardness, International 75 - 85 (ISO 48/ASTM D 1415) 3.4.4 Hardness, Durometer A 70 - 80 (ISO 868/ASTM D 2240, instantaneous, pli

GENERAL INFORMATION The information below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Original hardness testing according to ASTM D 2240 (durometer A) will be no longer acceptable in Ford specifications after January 1991. International hardness according to ASTM D 1415 will be the only acceptable test/requirement.
