Test specimensare to be selected from finished gaskets when practicable.Prior to testing the materials shal
4、l be conditioned in an oven at 100 +/-2 C for 1 h and allowed to cool to 21 - 30 C in a desiccator containinganhydrous calcium chloride.3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStand ard Q-101. A 13 mm steel bolt is insertedthrough the hole and a nut put on it. Tighten the bolt to 79 N.m.Heat the assembly to 149 +/- 3
15、 C for 5 h. Remove and allow to cool toro om temperature. 19、ecified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials Engineeri ng activity. Suppliers desiring approval ofthe ir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffe
20、c ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance
21、 with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford evaluation.
