2、ior texturedpaint fo r plastic parts. It must be cured with a suitable isocyanatehardener.2. APPLICATIONThis spe cification was released originally for material used as two packtextured paint for various interior applications.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requi

3、rements of Ford Quality SystemStanda rd Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedth erein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECT

4、ROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at t

5、hedesignated material lab oratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONINGAll test values indicated herein are based on ma terial conditioned ina control led atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/

6、- 5 % relativehumidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under thesame conditions unless otherwise specified.3.4 COMPOSITION3.4.1 Resin: Synthetic polyhydroxy acrylicresins.3.4.2 Pigments: Pigments to obtain the desiredcolour, grain and properties.ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONW

After the storage the material must pass allspecification requirements.3.6 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS3.6.1 SubstratePolyc

12、tablepr ocess, e.g. power wash, to remove mold releasing agents,fingerprints, oils, dirt and moisture.3.6.3 Primer Surfacer (not mandatory, only if required)Application of a primer surfacer, film thickness and bakingas specified in the relevant material specification.3.6.4 Top coat applicationDry fi

13、lm thickness: 30 - 35 micrometre;Flash off time: 3 minutes;Baking: 15 minutes at 80 C, 5 minutes at 130 C3.6.5 Ageing:Test panels prepared under this specification shall be agedfor at least 72 h at 23 +/- 2 C or 16 h at 45 +/- 1 C beforetesting for resistance properties.3.7 APPEARANCECol our, gloss,

14、 grain and surface finish shall match master TrimSample and/or Master Appearance Sample as approved by Design.3.7.1 Colour see MAS - Panel(FLTM BI 109-01)3.7.2 Gloss and GrainVisual matching with MAS - Panel.3.8 RESISTANCE PROPERTIESTest Panels and painted plastic parts prepared according to thisspe

15、cification shall meet all requirements of performancespecification WSK-M2P144-A.3.9 QUALITYThe top coat must be adaptable for application i n accordance with theappropriate Ford Motor Company Process Specification.The top coat must be compatible with all related materials.3.10 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILI

17、essing or labelling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesan

18、d obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford apply tothe mat erials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in E

19、ngineering Material Specification WS S-M99P9999-A1, unlessa different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials Engineeri ng activity. Suppl

20、iers desiring approval ofthe ir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffect ed Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specification (test r

21、esults, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecimen s for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Engineering Material Approved Source List.5.
