SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a polyacrylic rubber compound. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material

3、used for rotating shaft oil seals in manual transmissions and rear axles. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 SLAB STOCK 3.4.1 Prepar

4、ation of Test Specimens All tests are to be performed on specimens die-cut from the molded test sheets manufactured from the same material and with equivalent cure to production parts. The test sheets shall have the following dimensions: 150 x 150 mm, min x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm 3.4.2 Density 1.44 - 1.48 g

For each aging test 3 seals are to be cut into two equal parts in an axial direction, one half part shall be aged and on the other half part the original hardness shall be measured. The average of three hardness measurements on different specimens shal

17、l be taken on each half part and be reported.
