4、Stability 90 days During a storage of 90 days between 5 and 32 C temperature the material as supplied shall not settle up or cake insoluble. After the storage the material must pass all specification requirements. 3.6 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS 3.6.1 Substrate: Polycarbonate, ABS, Polyamide as well
5、as metallic substrates as required on Engineering Drawing. Note: PP/EPDM plastics must be primed with an adhesion primer prior to painting. 3.6.2 Substrate Preparation The surface to be painted shall be cleaned by an acceptable process, e.g. power wash, to remove mold releasing agents, fingerprints,
6、 oils, dirt and moisture. 3.6.3 Primer Surfacer (only if required) Application of a primer surfacer, film thickness and baking as specified in the relevant material specification. 3.6.4 Top coat application Dry film thickness: 70 - 80 micrometer; Flash off time: 5 minutes; Baking: 20 minutes at 80 C
7、 (Object temperature). 3.6.5 Ageing Test panels prepared under this specification shall be aged for at least 72 h at 23 +/- 2 C or 16 h at 45 +/- 1 C before testing for resistance properties. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 DENSITY OF THE DRY FILM See Initial Sample +/- 0.02 kg/L (FLTM BI 154-02) 5.2 MATERIAL REFERENCE All related materials used for approval of topcoat according to this specification, e.g. primers or plastic substrates, shall be noted in the Initial Sample Report of the topcoat.
