SCOPE These specifications define the performance require
3、ments for paint films on plastic parts for interior use. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally to define paint performance requirements of one coat paint systems for various interior applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material supp
4、liers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 PARAGRAPH DELETED 3.3 SYSTEM COMPONENTS 3.3.1 Substrate ABS, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene or as specified on Engineering Drawing. 3.3.2 Plastic Preparation (see also 5.1) The su
5、rface to be painted shall be cleaned by an acceptable process, e.g. power wash, to remove mold releasing agents, fingerprints, oils, dirt and moisture. 3.3.3 Primer Where necessary in order to meet the requirements of this specification, an adhesion primer, primer surfacer or primer sealer must be u
6、sed or as specified on Engineering Drawing. 3.3.4 Top Coat Suitable to meet the requirements of this specification or as specified on Engineering Drawing. 3.3.5 Film Thickness As specified in applicable paint material specification. 8、epaired areas must meet the requirements of this specification. All repair materials and processes used must be approved by the affected Product Engineering Office. Maximum film thickness for repaired parts will be specified in the mutually agreed control plan. 3.4 APPEARANCE Color, gloss, grain and
9、 surface finish shall match master Trim Sample and/or Master Appearance Sample as approved by Design.
