One side is coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive and covered with release paper. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originall
3、y for material used to cover the joint of window frame to door inner panel. The material is applied on EC-coated or spray primed surfaces. Prior to the release for a particular application and in addition to the requirements specified within this specification, full evaluation as a component of spec
4、ific trim products must be tested by the responsible Component Engineering activity on substrates intended for use in the final application. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For

Test specimens shall be wiped with isopropanol/water (1:1) and dry wiped prior to applying the ta

8、 conditions before testing per para 3.6. 3.6.1 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C 3.6.2 Humidity aging 14 d at 38 +/- 2 C, 98 +/- 2% RH Reconditioning: 4 h at 23 C and 50 +/- 5% RH 3.6.3 Heat Aging 14 d at 80 +/- 2 C; Reconditioning: 4 h at 23 C and 50 +/- 5% RH 3.6.4 Paint Repair Oven 30 minutes at 120 +/- 2 C; Re

12、+/- 2 C. It shall be free from cracks or bubbles and shall show a uniform closed paint film without staining or discoloration. Test Method: 1. Prepare test panels of 300 mm x 100 mm according to with current production E-coat and cure according to the respective material specification. 2. Bond 250 m
13、m x 25 mm pieces of tape on the test panels. The mating surfaces must be pressed firmly together to force out trapped air and ensure a good bond. 3. 10 minutes after bonding, coat test assemblies with production epoxy spray primer at a dry film thickness of 0.025 mm - 0.035 mm. 4. After 10 minutes a
14、t 23 +/- 2 C cure specimens separately according to respective spray primer specification. 5. After another 10 minutes at 23 +/- 2 C spray separate specimens with light colored standard and metallic top coat enamel (production material) at a coating thickness (dry) of 0.04 mm - 0.05 mm. 6. After 10
15、minutes at 23 +/- 2 C cure specimens separately according to affected enamel specifications. 7. Condition for 2 h at 23 +/- 2 C and expose in mechanical convection oven maintained at 70 +/- 2 C for 14 days. 8. Test and examine after 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C. 3.10 FOGGING (FLTM BO 116-03) Fog Number, min 6
16、0 Perform the test with the tape adhering with the adhesive side to aluminum foil or steel panel. 3.11 FLAMMABILITY (ISO 3795/SAE J369) Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute Perform the test with the tape adhering with the adhesive side to a steel panel. 5.
