2、RAGE STABILITY 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a solvent release one component sealer based on polyurethane. It cures at room temperature in the presence of moisture. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for dealer repair shops for the repair of interior a

3、nd exterior body joint seams. The material is to be applied to dry, grease free and primed surfaces. After application condition for at least 5 h at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity (based on an application thickness of max 3 mm) prior to painting. 3. REQUIREMENTS Note: Unless otherwise s

4、pecified use: a) EC-coated test panels according to FLTM BI 120-01, Method C and b) Test panels prepared according to FLTM BI 103-02, Method Bb, except only EC-coated and spray primer. Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUI

5、REMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Quality System Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designat

6、ed material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 7、NS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. 3.4 FLASH POINT Above 25 C (ASTM D 56) 3.5 COLOR Wh

10、, Ford Global Technologies, Inc. 3.11 COLD FLEXIBILITY AFTER AGING No cracking, no loss of adhesion, no chipping or blistering. Test Method: . Apply 280 x 30 x 2 mm ribbons of material under test to 300 x 100 x 0.8 - 0.9 mm test panels prepared according to para 3. . Expose test specimens after 24 h

11、 at 23 +/- 2 C in a mechanically convected air dry oven at 70 +/- 2 C for 120 h. . After cooling to RT expose test assemblies and bending fixture (see FLTM BV 153-04, except 100 mm mandrel) in a cold box at - 40 +/- 2 C for 4 h. . While still in the cold box bend test assemblies within 2 s around th

12、e 100 mm mandrel through an angle of 90 deg. 3.12 ENVIRONMENTAL CYCLING TEST AFTER AGING No cracking, no separation from substrate. Test Method: . Prepare test specimens according to para 3.11, section 1 and 2 of test method. . After 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C the test specimens shall be subjected three tim

13、es to the following cycle: 16 h at 98 +/- 2 % RH and 38 +/- 2 C 4 h at - 40 +/- 2 C 4 h at 80 +/- 2 C . Evaluation according to FLTM BV 153-03, mandrel diameter 100 mm, angle of 90 deg within 2 s. 14、Inc. 3.13 PAINTABILITY No staining, discoloration or other deleterious effects on the paint after exposure to each of the following exposures: a. Fluorescent Sunlamp, min 500 h (FLTM BU 152-02) b. Florida Exposure, min 12 months (5 deg facing south, Miami, Florida) Specimen Preparation: . Apply 280

15、x 30 x 3 mm ribbons of sealer under test to 300 x 100 x 0.8 - 0.9 mm test panels prepared according to FLTM BI 120-01, Method C and FLTM BI 103-02, Method B. . Condition for at least 5 h at room temperature and paint using approved/released repair paint systems. . Condition for 24 h at room temperat

16、ure and expose as specified under items a and b above. 3.14 BRIDGING The material shall bridge a distance of 4 mm. The sagging height shall not exceed 3 mm. . Apply a bead of material under test, 5 mm in diameter to a test fixture as outlined in FLTM BV 153-05 (treated in accordance with FLTM BI 103

17、-2, Method C, EC-coated) and conditioned for 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C. . It

21、shall not cause excessive soiling when handled in normal production use. 3.20 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Additional requirements for material and/or manufactured parts may be specified on the Engineering drawing, Engineering parts specification, performance specification, System Design Specification (S

22、DS) and/or Component Design Specification (CDS). 23、 approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify the affected Purchasing, and Materials Engineering ac

24、tivities (with reasons) of the proposed changes. Upon notification of the Company, further instructions will be provided. Note: Suppliers should be prepared to provide test data and samples demonstrating compliance to this specification, if requested. Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or

25、 Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification for direct supply to the Company must have prior approval. Certain mat

26、erials subcontracted by part suppliers may also require prior approval. These include materials critical to the Companys business for regulatory, safety, environmental or compatibility requirements or contractual agreements. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expres

27、sion of interest from Purchasing, Design or Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification.
