SCOPE:The mate rials defined by these specifications are non-yellowing cathodicelectroc oat primer for nominal 25 micrometre film build and associatedmake-up feed components. The materi

4、als shall not contain lead.2. APPLICATION:These sp ecifications were released originally for a paint system used aselectroc oat primer on vehicle bodies, sheet metal components and smallparts. The primer will provide good corrosion resistance, good adhesionand enamel appearance properties.WSK-M64J35

5、-A1/WSK-M64J35-C1:This pri mer is applied directly over zinc phosphated cold rolled steel,electrod eposited zinc or zinc/nickel alloy coated steel and any othertype of precoated steel, as well as to aluminum substrates. Typicalapplications are as follows:. Visible Exterior Surfaces:The electrocoated

6、 primer film will be followed by a primer surfacerand an exterior enamel colour coat. The electrocoat primer, primersurfacer and enamel are all baked separately. REQUIREMENTS:WSK-M64J35-A1/WSK-M64J35-C1:The cath odic electrocoat primer shall meet all detailed requirements ofthis specif

9、ication.WSK-M64J35-A2/C2/WSK-M64J35-A3/C3:The make -up feed materials shall meet the requirements of para 3.2 and3.4.When fee d material is used in production, the resultant primer shall meetall detailed requirements of this specification.3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSu ppliers must conform to the require

10、ments of Ford Quality SystemSt andard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedth erein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatest atistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continually reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROP

11、HOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFo rd Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/orth ermal analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.Th e IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approvalsh all constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on fileat the

12、designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IRsp ectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standardwhen tested under the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONINGAl l test values indicated herein are based on material conditionedin a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5

Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualifie d and authorized represen

41、tative of the test facility,demonstr ating full compliance with all the requirements of thisspecific ation (test results, not nominal values), the materialdesignat ion and code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation.Fords engineering approval of a material will be based on itsperforma nce to

42、 this specification and on an assessment of suitability forintended processes and/or applications. Upon approval, the material willbe added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List.5.
