SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications

3、 are non-woven fibrous batts of good quality and uniform construction laminated to a non-woven scrim. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for materials used as sound absorbing insulators on door panels and back panels of 1996 F-Series trucks. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specifi

4、cation requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 COMPOSITION, % by weight (ASTM D 629)

7、 g. Determine the weight to the nearest 0.01 g using an analytical balance (W1). Place sample in an oven with no air flow directed onto the sample for 16 h at 110 +/- 2 C. Remove from the oven and immediately reweigh to the nearest 0.01 g. (W2). Calculate the % weight loss. % Weight Loss = W1- W2x 1

Results shall be made available to Materials Engineering prior to material approval and release. 3.13 ACOUSTICAL PERFORMAN

10、CE Acoustical performance of these materials must be evaluated and approved by the appropriate NVH Development activity before being released for use. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of these specifications.

11、5.1 USE RESTRICTIONS These materials are not intended for use as thermal insulators. They are not recommended for use in areas where ambient or operating temperatures exceed 90 C for continuous periods of time exceeding 96 hours. These materials are intended for use only in areas where there will not be any load bearing or compressive conditions.
