2、ATED 1. SCOPE The material defined is a woven polyester face fabric with embossed pattern added after lamination. 2. APPLICATION This specification is for material used as an interior trim fabric for 2015 MY seat insert and bolster. The fabric is approved as trilaminated with foam and backing fabric
3、/scrim. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located
4、 within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the materia
5、l should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M8P18-A1/A2/A3/A4 as applicable. 3.4 FABRIC CONSTRUCTION 3.4.1 Fabric Count, -10 /+ 10 % tolerance (ASTM D3775) Wa

GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 9、nts will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS
10、-M8P18-A1/A2/A3/A4. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials
11、Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for rev
12、iew upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.6 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in a
13、ll characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical A
14、ssistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications fo
