SCOPE The material defined
2、 is a flat woven polyester face fabric made from 100% virgin yarn with soil repellent. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for 2016MY Transit seat insert. The fabric was originally approved as tri-laminated with foam and a backing sc
3、rim. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located wi
4、thin Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 This specification is based on virgin materials with soil repellent. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M8P18-A1/A2/A3/A4/latest as applicable
5、. 3.4 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.5 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Q
6、uality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.6 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Test
7、ing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 10、The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any o
11、ne assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Program or regional duplication, each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet
12、 the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-A1/A2/A3/A4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of
13、 their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstratin
14、g full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis,
15、 Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affe
16、ct the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval
17、, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STAN
18、DARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
