SCOPE The material defined is a flat
2、 woven polyester face fabric. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for Escort 2015MY seat insert. The fabric was originally approved as tri-laminated with foam and a backing scrim. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specificati
3、on requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Mater
4、ials Engineer. 3.2 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M8P18-A1/A2/A3/A4/latest as applicable. 3.3 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS
5、-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, and Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.4 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24h prior to testing in a contr
6、olled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. GENERAL INFORMATION The info

Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assem
10、bly plant will be produced by one supplier only. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-A1/A2/A3/A4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam &
11、 scrim construction in all regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test rep
12、orts, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will
13、 review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. 15、cted Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested
16、 to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Producation Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
