SCOPE The material defined is a warp knit poly
2、ester face fabric. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim seat fabric for anti-squeak application, and for low wear/low visible application, such as side facing, gusset, bottom of the headrest. 2.1 LIMITATIONS The fabric should not be used for
3、 Class A surface. The fabric does not pass the Velcro and Martindale abrasion requirement for Class A surface, which is not applicable for seat side facing and low wear/low visible application. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sou
4、rces identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 APPPEARANCE The color, pattern, an
5、d finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest as applicable. 3.4 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior appl
6、ications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.5 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned fo
7、r not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will en
11、sure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Program or Regional duplication, each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a Construction package and be approve
12、d to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction
13、 in all regions. 14、rials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available f
15、or review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalen
16、t in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Techn
17、ical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specificati
18、ons for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Producation Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A/latest which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
