SCOPE The material defined by this specification is colored and U.V. stabilized thermoplastic elastomer containing fully cured EPDM elastomer particles in a continuous polypropylene mat
3、rix. These materials possess good interior weathering capability and have excellent low fogging characteristics. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for “D“ pillar side airbag curtain and general interior components that are color keyed such as cup holders, mats, and soft touch
4、 knobs. The material can be processed by conventional thermoplastics molding techniques such as injection molding, extrusion and blow molding. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements F
5、or Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 PREPARATION OF TEST SPECIMENS Test specimens shall be die cut from fan gated injection molded plaques having a nominal thickness of 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm. Die cut specimens are to be tested with the long axis of the test specimens perpendicular to the direction

12、king, crazing or other deterioration when viewed with the unaided eye from a distance of 300 +/- 10 mm at 23 +/- 2 C. A slight uniform loss of gloss or chalking will be allowed provided an acceptable appearance can be achieved by washing with mild detergent (ratio 5:95 by volume) or equivalent after
