SCOPE The material defined by this specific
3、ation is a laminate consisting of a solid vinyl film, an expanded vinyl layer and a texturized polyester fabric. 2. APPLICATION WSS-M2F156-C was developed for Global commercial vehicles and truck seating applications that require high wear and flexibility resistance. WSS-M2F156-C4 was released origi
4、nally for material used in interior trim as perforated covering for seat applications in commercial vehicles and trucks. Any other applications must be evaluated by the appropriate product engineer with functional testing and approved by Materials Engineering. 3. REQUIREMENTS In addition to the requ
5、irements listed herein, this material shall meet all requirements of the WSS M8P3-E1/E3 or latest Performance, Flexible Polymeric Film, Interior Quality specification. Laminated materials must meet the lamination requirement per WSS-M8P3-E3 or latest performance specification. 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES T
6、his specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally throu
7、gh a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment

14、ved by the Materials Engineering Activity. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers des
15、iring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facil
16、ity, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and

Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engine
19、ering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verificati
20、on (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.3 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricte
21、d Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis through IMDS and or GMAP reporting. 4.4 WSS-M2F156-C4 These materials may require the usage of dark colored foam and knit substrate to be use
